KSSS in association with State Women’s Commission organized a seminar on Cancer awareness at Kadathuruthy. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Prameela Devi J. (Member, State Women’s Commission). The class was facilitated by Dr. C. P. Vijayan (Professor, Kottayam Medical College). Dr. Vijayan spoke about the rising incidents of cancer among women and the alarming rise in the number of breast cancer victims below 30 years. According to him, early diagnosis is the key to battle and beat cancer. The programme educated the participants on effective treatment of the disease and encouraged everyone to undergo screening for cancer.
