Mushroom farming is an agricultural activity which is truly organic and highly beneficial, not only as a source of nutrition but also as a supplementary income to the family. It is relatively less labour intensive and provides good returns within a short period of time.
In order to spread the message of mushroom farming and to promote various by-products of mushroom, KSSS opened a mushroom club at Chaithanya. The club was inaugurated by Mr. Shaji Zachariah (NABARD, Kottayam Dist. Development Manager) on April 16, 2016. 47 mushroom farmers participated in the programme. They were imparted class on “Mushroom farming and its possibilities”.
