The second of the Development Retreat series was headed by Mr. T. A. Vargheese (Development Practitioner, Trivandrum) on February 19, 2013. The discussions revolved around opportunities and challenges in present social work, social change, social action approaches, people’s participation, good governance and its indicators, Hi-tech and social marketing. An interactive session acknowledging alternatives and minority opinions is a way of encouraging creative thinking.
Throughout the meeting participants members were vigilant to develop ‘ideas for action’ for the jubilee year. Finally, the participants submitted their ideas in teams of two.
